Give full project control with Owner

Use Owner when one person must edit project money, tasks, resources, and time.

What you'll achieve

Grant and verify Owner access on one project.

You'll end up with: Priya Sharma has full manual control of Riverside Apartments without becoming a firm administrator.

Owner is full control of one project

Owner sets all five project dimensions to Edit: Revenue, Expenses, Tasks, Resources, and Time. This is project authority, not account authority. Priya Sharma can control Riverside Apartments without gaining salaries, organisation profitability, settings, or unrelated projects.

The tutorial uses a manual grant. That matters for money. Business finances caps automatic financial grants from ownership, rules, allocations, and the all-project floor, but a deliberate manual project grant can exceed that ceiling.

Verify the Owner result

  1. 1

Save Contributor for Priya Sharma so no firm-wide project power obscures the example.

  2. 2

Open Riverside Apartments Members, add Priya Sharma, and choose Owner.

    Step 2
  3. 3

Start Preview and open Riverside Apartments from Schedule.

  4. 4

Confirm Revenue and Expenses are visible, then open Edit and Revenue to expose the financial entry controls.

Troubleshooting

  • Financial cards stay hidden. Confirm the Members row says Owner and Manual.
  • Preview will not save an edit. This is correct. Preview is always read-only, even when the selected person's real level is Edit.
  • Other projects remain restricted. Owner applies only to the admitted project and branch.

Where this fits next

Continue with Manager when someone should run the work but only inspect project money.
