Using the Time Calendar
Track time using the visual weekly calendar โ drag to create, move, and resize time blocks.
Overview
The time calendar shows your week as a visual grid. Each column is a day, and time blocks represent your entries. It's the fastest way to log a full week of time.
Creating a Time Entry
- Navigate to Time in the sidebar.
- Click and drag on a day column to create a time block.
- In the popover that appears, select the project and task.
- Add a description of the work (optional).
- Adjust the duration if the drag didn't match exactly.
- The entry saves automatically.
Drag from the top of your working day downward to match the time you started and finished. The block height represents duration.
Moving Time Entries
To reschedule an entry to a different day:
- Click and hold the time block.
- Drag it to the target day.
- Release to drop it.
The date updates automatically. The duration stays the same.
Resizing Time Entries
To change the duration:
- Hover over the top or bottom edge of a time block until you see the resize cursor.
- Drag up or down to adjust.
Editing a Time Entry
Click a time block to open its detail popover, where you can edit:
- Project and task assignment
- Description
- Duration (in hours and minutes)
- Billable toggle
- Tags (if configured)
Navigating Weeks
- Use the left/right arrows in the toolbar to move between weeks.
- Click Today to jump back to the current week.
- The date range is displayed in the toolbar header.
Day Totals
Each day column shows a total hours badge at the top, summing all entries for that day. The weekly total appears in the toolbar.
If your total hours for a day exceed your daily capacity (based on your work pattern), the total is highlighted to indicate overtime.
Deleting Time Entries
- Click a time block to open the detail popover.
- Click Delete (or the trash icon).
- Confirm the deletion.
