Inviting Staff to Monument

How to send invitations so team members can sign in and start using Monument.

Overview

After creating a resource profile for a team member, you can invite them to Monument so they can sign in, track time, and access projects. The invitation links their user account to their resource profile.

Sending an Invitation

  1. Navigate to Resources in the sidebar.
  2. Find the resource you want to invite and open their profile.
  3. Click Invite to Monument (or the envelope icon).
  4. Confirm the email address โ€” this is where the invitation will be sent.
  5. Select an organisation role that determines their overall access level.
  6. Click Send Invitation.

The team member receives an email with a link to create their account (or sign in if they already have one).

What Happens When They Accept

When a team member clicks the invitation link:

  1. They create an account (or sign in to an existing one).
  2. Their account is automatically linked to the resource profile you created.
  3. They can immediately access projects and features based on their assigned roles.

Invitation Status

Track invitation status from the Resources page:

  • Pending โ€” invitation sent, not yet accepted
  • Accepted โ€” the team member has created their account
  • Expired โ€” the invitation link has expired (you can resend)

Resending or Cancelling Invitations

  • Resend โ€” click the resend button on a pending invitation to send a fresh email.
  • Cancel โ€” cancel a pending invitation if it was sent in error.
