Keep team members focused on their own work

Use team Member when someone needs their own work surfaces without access to shared teammates.

What you'll achieve

Grant and verify Member access inside one team.

You'll end up with: Priya Sharma remains a member of Architect and can use her own Time dashboard without gaining access to Marcus Webb.

Member adds belonging, not authority

Team Member places someone in a team without giving them special access to other members. Profiles, Time, Leave, and Assignments stay Hidden for shared teammates. Use it when Architect is useful for grouping and planning, but Priya Sharma should not inspect or manage Marcus Webb.

This team level does not remove Priya's personal access. She can still use her own Time and Leave surfaces as herself. Team permissions answer what one person can do for another person; self access is resolved separately.

Assign and verify Member

  1. 1

Save Contributor for Priya Sharma so firm-wide Staff management stays hidden.

  2. 2

Open Architect, add Marcus Webb, then choose Access level.

  3. 3

Select Member for Priya Sharma and save the team.

    Step 3
  4. 4

Preview Priya Sharma and confirm Resources is absent from her navigation.

  5. 5

Open Time and confirm her own dashboard renders without a linking prompt.

Troubleshooting

  • Resources appears. Check Priya Sharma's account access level and any stronger team level she receives through another shared team.
  • Priya cannot open Time. Confirm Preview is active for Priya and her resource still exists.
  • Marcus Webb appears elsewhere. Project access is separate from team access and may reveal project-scoped work without granting staff profile access.

Where this fits next

Use Viewer when Priya Sharma should read shared teammate profiles. Use Lead when she should coordinate their Time, Leave, and Assignments.
