Manage project work without changing money
Use Manager for operational control with read-only project revenue and expenses.
What you'll achieve
Grant and verify Manager access on one project.
You'll end up with: Priya Sharma can manage Riverside Apartments delivery while project money remains read-only.
Before you start
Manager separates oversight from budget editing
Manager sets Revenue and Expenses to View, then sets Tasks, Resources, and Time to Edit. A project manager can plan the programme, staff the work, and manage time while financial decisions remain protected from changes.
This level is still per project. The manual grant on Riverside Apartments does not grant the same access to another commission.
Verify Manager on the live project
- 1
Save Contributor for Priya Sharma.
- 2
Open Riverside Apartments Members, add Priya Sharma, and choose Manager.

- 3
Start Preview and open Riverside Apartments from Schedule.
- 4
Confirm Revenue and Expenses are visible while financial entry controls remain closed and task editing remains available.
A visible Revenue or Expenses card proves View access. The Manager matrix does not grant Edit for either financial dimension.
Troubleshooting
- Revenue or Expenses is absent. Confirm the manual row uses Manager rather than Member.
- A financial mutation is rejected in Preview. Preview blocks every mutation regardless of the selected person's underlying access.
- Staffing another person fails. Project Resources Edit is only one half. The manager also needs Assignments Edit through a shared team with that person.
